About Me

My Danish father gave me my name. He explained that many "cows" were named Gretchen in Denmark, and he liked the name. So yes, I was named after a cow. Hopefully a cute one.

I am from the mid-west, graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Advertising and Marketing. My husband went to the University of Madison, my daughter went to the University of Iowa, so we are all a part of the Big Ten! Go Gophers. 

I moved from Chicago down to Charlotte in 2019, I love the warmer weather and friendliness of the south. I enjoy a good workout, being outside, drinking good beer, and watching sports. I am passionate about marketing, and enjoy reading, learning and traveling. I am also a personal trainer, nutrition specialist, and group fitness instructor. I enjoy helping people, especially meeting their diet and fitness goals.  A unique thing about me is I collect frog figurines from everywhere I travel - so yes, my house is filled with them, but not in a creepy way. It is nice to meet you!
